Having a vinyl vehicle wrap is a great way to effectively market your business to hundreds or even thousands of potential customers in your area. Vibrant and visually appealing HVAC van wraps draw lots of attention, but it is important to make sure you care for them properly to keep them in excellent condition. When it comes to caring for your vinyl vehicle wrap, follow these easy tips to safely and thoroughly clean your vinyl:
- Wash Regularly: Wash your vehicle regularly using a soft cloth, a non-abrasive detergent such as 3M Car Wash Soap 39000 or Meguiar’s NXT Generation Car Wash. The longer dirt and contaminants remain on your vehicle, the more difficult they are to remove.
- Automatic Car Washing: Avoid car washes that use brushes, as these can damage or even start removing the vinyl wrap, dull the vinyl’s appearance, or leave scratches on the surface. Brushless car washes are fine.
- Pressure Washing: It’s always best to wash your vehicle by hand, but you may use a pressure washer as long as the pressure is below 2000 psi, the temperature is below 180 degrees Fahrenheit, the spray nozzle has a 40-degree wide angle spray pattern, and the nozzle remains at least one foot away from the vehicle.
In addition to regular washing, make sure to store your vehicle indoors or under cover whenever possible. This helps avoid fading or dulling from the sun and damage caused by acidic rainfall or smog.
