Graphics, Signage Come Out to Play

The image on this month's cover features a boat wrap produced by SignZoo, a national graphics house based out of Sarasota, FL. The graphics-covered, vinyl marine wrap was developed and is sold exclusively by SignZoo. The graphics were printed on their VUTEk UltraVu 150SC printer and then boat was wrapped at SignZoo's installation facility in Sarasota.

"The graphic was created to help sponsor a fisherman who is on the FLW Championship Tour, a fishing competition, which we are also a sponsor. The wraps have proved to be a great marketing tool for boating suppliers and fisherman as well as corporate sponsors," says Jason Getman, marine market rep at SignZoo.

"Our use of the finest printing technology available in the industry and our partnership with 3M enables us to deliver this unique product," he adds.

SignZoo specializes in all kinds of vehicle wraps. "We started wrapping boats about four years ago and its been a booming market for us ever since. We've done about 70 of them this year alone," he reports.

Getman says the graphics are printed on 3M vinyl media with an Avery laminate. "They take about 4-5 hours to install and can then be peeled off in about an hour. Having the VUTEk 150SC printer in house really makes the graphics pop and has cut our printing time in about a third. It's helped us produce a cool product utilizing an incredible process. Overall, the marine wrap business continues to be a growing market for us."
